Being new asks questions we don’t always have words for. Being Black adds a few more, about visibility, about memory, about who gets to feel rooted and who is asked to keep moving.

You Are Here ATX is my exploration of what it means to belong in Austin, what feels possible, what feels complicated, and everything in between. Through essays, photos, and small moments from around the city, I am choosing curiosity, presence, and staying with the questions a little longer.

This project is also about connection. I hope to create intimate spaces for conversation and reflection where people can share experiences, exchange ideas, and explore belonging together. Think of this as a gentle invitation. Wander through these stories, take what resonates, leave the rest, and maybe spark your own curiosity along the way.
